Broadband. And railways.

WHY is the government spending billions on an unnecessary and damaging high-speed railway when the thing which really makes businesses these days go is so slow? This is, of course, broadband. It’s fine if you live in a vast conurbation, but in the countryside it’s bad. BT always, in whatever area of the country, claim it’s nothing to do with them. Yeah, right. Cancel the high-speed rail: let’s spend some dough on getting a really good broadband infrastructure. And with the surplus money, how about re-opening some branch lines so that people in the countryside can actually get to the main lines which the government wants to be faster….
