Cyclists and 4x4s.

As I was cycling through Bloomsbury yesterday, a 4×4 plonked himself in cycle lane.  I squeezed past, gesturing for him to move over.  At the next lights, he drove into the cycle box, wound down his window and started the invective.  ‘You f***ing cyclists, you think you own the f***ing road’, etc.  I calmly pointed out that I didn’t – it was merely that he had been taking up the cycle lane.  Naturally, he didn’t listen, but kept swearing.  Unfortunately, before I had time to point out the irony of a 4×4 driver accusing anyone else of road-hoggery, he sped off.  The traffic light was still red.
