More musings on the ash business

I’ve just been onto the excellent Forestry Commission web pages about C. fraxinea (info and Q&A).  It has a link to the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization (EPPO) website.  This has a good, if disturbing, alert list.

I do find it relieving that there are clearly caring and competent people in these organizations.  I have absolute faith that the FC and Fera will do their best in – and quite possibly THE best for – this situation.  I am glad that EPPO exists, and more power to it.

They have to work in the face of brash consumerism.  It’s a hard job.
